Summary of Criminal and Civil Lawsuits Against Drug Companies

Public Health Citizen’s Research Group has published a summary, “Rapidly Increasing Criminal and Civil Monetary Penalties Against the Pharmaceutical Industry: 1991-2010.” Pretty big numbers:

Of the 165 settlements comprising $19.8 billion in penalties during this 20-year interval, 73 percent of the settlements (121) and 75 percent of the penalties ($14.8 billion) have occurred in just the past five years (2006-2010).
Four companies (GlaxoSmithKline, Pfizer, Eli Lilly, and Schering-Plough) accounted for more than half (53 percent or $10.5 billion) of all financial penalties imposed over the past two decades.
And here’s a 2012 update to that document.

I’ve already sent a complaint form to the doctors and surgeons of bc. I was at one time on 2300 milligrams of medications.

I have been off of all that medication for over 16 months after learning what the medications we’re doing to me.

I have also been off of drugs and alcohol for over 4 years. It was a detox plan from the medication that I was unable to find full support with.

I have seen.doctors all the way.through.this process, and I have had evaluations done which are always very good with a zero anxiety and always cleary focused.

I am now supported by myself legally with proof agsinst those that did not want to see me succeed, thourogh as complaints that have been acknowledged by the rcmp and are being investigated.

I have wanted monetary compensation from the different medications that I was on, and am also seeking monetary compensation for the pressures I was put under from those who did not want me to succeed.

I am a successful skilled and educated man, who has detoxifies off of these meds andvschieved in many more areas of my life.

It did not have to be as sufficient as it was with all the resistance I had.

Could you please let me know who specifically to talk to about ensuring I am.legally and monetarily compensated, Ie lawyers, or others that are involved in being compensated for the damages that were occurring to my minivans body while i was on the medications ?

I can email copies of all the documentation and files I have including the doctors responsible as well as my history and I can include specific names of people whom were aware of my.plan and we’re also made aware of my plan and we’re directly told by me to do something about the problems I see developing In others due to giving out these meds.

Hi lonney lee, sorry for being so late in responding, I’ve been away for a while and do not monitor this site regularly anymore. I’m not sure what your question is, but generally it is very difficult in Canada to sue for damages related to psychiatric treatments and there are not many lawyers who handle those kinds of cases, so I’m afraid I cannot be much help.
